LSE Lexicon

This section provides access to the Spanish Sign Language lexicon identified in the corpus. ID-Glosses or Meanings can be searched for.

• An ID-Gloss is a unique identifier of a lexical item (sign), i.e. each LSE sign has only one ID-Gloss and vice versa. ID-Glosses are formulated using rough equivalents in English or Spanish, but should not be confused with words in any spoken language. On this page the ID-Glosses of all lexical items and some semi-lexical elements (buoys or indexes) recorded in the corpus have been incorporated.
  However, the descriptive tokens, also known as classifiers, which are identified in the corpus as "cl." and which can be found using the corpus search engine, are not found here.
• The "meanings" are approximate equivalents in English. A sign (ID-Glosa) can have more than one equivalent meaning in English, and an English meaning can correspond to more than one LSE sign.
